- Born (1980) and raised in Mardin/Turkey
- Currently based in Paris/France
- Graduate of Ege University’s Department of Near Eastern Archeology
- Participated in numerous excavations across Anatolia and Northern Mesopotamia
- Recipient of numerous scholarships and awards including those granted by the U.S. Department of State and the British Council
- Worked as an archaeologist until 2014
- A photographer for 21 years, my work has been featured in various magazines including Maison Française, Marie Claire Maison, InStyle Home, and Alldecor.
- Co-founder of Onlyherstory, oral history project documenting the lives of “ordinary” women in Turkey, published on Instagram and the project website, in Turkish and English, and often Kurdish. It aims to create an online memory archive of women’s experiences in Turkey regardless of the story owners’ ethnicity, religious creed, or locality.
- Founder of the first-ever Kurdish/Turkish bilingual YouTube channel, where I produce content on the history, archaeology, mythology and belief systems of Anatolia and Mesopotamia
